When a new school year starts, it’s important to get systems running as smoothly as possible. During the first few days back, it can be very helpful to stop by each classroom and make sure all the computers are plugged in and connecting to the Internet. It’s great to make contact with everyone, share a smile, and note any problems with computers in the classroom. Let teachers know what is being done to remedy any problems. Communication goes a long way!
After a long summer teachers may forget how to operate systems that were running smoothly in May. If you have programs, like Accelerated Reader, take a few moments to share a quick note with sign on instructions, passwords, and reminders.
The teachers and students may not be ready for the equipment in the first days back at school. These few steps will be appreciated when everyone is raring to go as classroom patterns, habits, and work begin picking up steam.
